Hi all,
can anyone tell me what is the simplest way to create backup WAN connection?
I have setup 2 WAN connection(2 ISP, 1 is DIA w/ fix ip, 2 is 3G), but if I enable both interface ,then I unplug WAN 1. no traffic goes to WAN 2.
I have already have 3G connection enable all the time (w/ command "dialer persistent")
my seario is:
Cisco 2811+ Cisco-HWIC-3G,
Thanks guys.

How does the 3G connection get its IP configuration? Is this a static config or dynamic?
Unplug your WAN 1 connection and do a "show ip route"
Do you have a default route in that list?
Is the default route going to the correct next hop?
Are you running a routing protocol on either connection?

thanks
Gateway of last resort is 21.21.14.8 to network 0.0.0.0
S* 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 21.21.14.8
10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets
C 10.8.42.77 is directly connected, Dialer0
172.16.0.0/16 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks
C 172.16.0.0/18 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1
L 172.16.0.200/32 is directly connected, FastEthernet0/1
default routing is going to 21.21.14.8, while wan 1 is up, the route works.
and don't have any dynamic routing protocols up now.
