WLC2504-AP1532 Connection and configuration

Hello,

I have a scenario, I have 2504 WLC , 1532 Cisco AP and Cisco 2960 PoE switch and I need to configure WLC Management IP & Cisco 1532AP in different network subnets where AP should get the IP Automatically from WLC. I need to connect WLC & 1532AP through 2960 switch.

Management IP (10.10.10.1) and APs should be in 20.20.20.2-10

Can you please help me to configure the same at all end.

Hi

 You can't with this switch model. To keep AP in a different IP range of wlc management Interface you need to perform inter vlan routing, so, you need to have a layer 3 device to do that.

 On the layer 3 device you can create an interface vlan for APs and add the command  helper address pointing to the WLC interface so that they can get an IP address.

As far as I recall. you cannot use the PoE ports on the 2504 to directly connect an AP.
