WRED and queue depths

Hi All,

My understanding is that each CBWFQ class in a policy-map has a default output queue depth of 64, which is also the MAXIMUM queue depth.

However, if this is the case, how can the following WRED command be referring to a max threshold value of 100 packets?

random-detect dscp af 13 25 100 4

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I think this is because as long as you enter a number taken by command( from min threshold to 4096) then the command is accepted.

Regards.

Alain.
