Hello,

i have  a problem with my 4400 router. i have a fixed ip of my provider and the router gets this from my cable modem.

But when i try to ping the ip addrress from provider i have no reply.

I need this for a vpn connection .

Can anyone help?

And what does happen if you connect PC directly to cable modem? Is ping OK?

Will yout router be VPN server or only forwarding traffic? Cheack your firewall first
