Catalyst 8500 vs ASR1002

Hi Cisco Guys,

Does Cisco Catalyst 8500 series have the same or similar scheme as Cisco ASR1002-X wherein system bandwidth is "upgradable" (via licenses IIRC)?

Hello,

Cisco changed the licensing between the ASR and C8500. To put it simply, the new licensing is called DNA, and you can upgrade the bandwidth between licences (but only for crypto traffic/SD-WAN traffic, other traffic IOS-XE runs unthrottled.)
