Hello,
I would like to understand how we can change system ip of the router. We are using cedge and during one of the change, device ip did not get reflected. would some one suggest what is best way to proceed further.
cedge: ISR1100 and ISR4K series router

if this already managed by vManage ?.
changing system-ip need to be done Locally as part of basic config ?

Hi Balaji,
Thanks for the response. Currently the device is already in production and in vmanage mode. Change is required due to some allocation issue and needs to be reconfigured to avoid inventory/monitoring gaps. so need to understand
1. Is this doable via template
2. what is the impact during such changes.

1. i would suggest to using manual configuration change (may there is method - but never tried)
2. while you boot straping the router, the site will not have any connectivity until all configured and working.
if you have dual routers in the site, then you can do one at a time to minimise the outage.

Hi,
system IP is system template parameter. Check for the configuration, if it is variable based just edit attached template device variable,s choose respective device and put new system IP.
If it is written directly in the feature template, add new system IP there.
Control connectivity will flap due to sysIP change and ensure that new system IP is unique in entire overlay network

Thanks for the steps, i will try this as the device is in production & vManage mode. Currently system ip is variable in Feature template, so will use the same to edit it.
