Cisco 8300's in SDWAN Mode with TLOC Extension

We are planning to replace our vEdge SDWAN routers with the 8200 and 8300 platform running on IOS-XE in controller mode. Some of these deployments involve dual router configurations with 2 WAN providers(Internet/MPLS) with a TLOC extension configuration between the routers. I am curious if anyone has experience with this design and has successfully implemented it, and what the outcome was for stability and reliability? There appears to be limited Cisco design and configuration documentation available. We are starting with the CLI configuration and then planning to templatize this once the config is nailed down. Thanks for any input or feedback in advance.

A good starting point would be to checkout the SD-WAN Design Case Studies:

Hi,

Cisco SD-WAN L2 TLOC Extension widely deployed design and when it comes to the configuration setting it is exactly similar to the vEdge configuration template setting. Below is one of the tools which can help you migrate from vEdge to cEdge. Additionally, please review vEdge to cEdge migration detail information captured over the below link.
