Cisco XE SDWAN Port Channel Configuration

Hi All.

I am planning to deploy ISR 4k as cEdge. As I plan a cEdge to have redundant VPN 1 connection to a stacked distribution switch. Is it posible to configure port-channel on this environment? Thank you.

Best regards,

Hello,

Unfortunately, right now port-channels are not supported on SDWAN edges:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/solutions/CVD/SDWAN/cisco-sdwan-design-guide.html

"WAN Edge routers do not support port-channels or the spanning-tree protocol."

You could do ECMP L3 links instead. I do believe support for port-channel is coming shortly but i don't know the exact release. You might be able to reach out to your sales rep if you have one to get confirmation.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Cisco just released this feature starting IOS-XE 17.6.1a / vManage 20.6.1. At this point it only works through CLI templates (or CLI mode) and QOS is not supported.

More info at: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/configuration/system-interface/ios-xe-17/systems-interfaces-book-xe-sdwan/m-cisco-sd-wan-etherchannel.html#Cisco_Concept.dita_a1a0c54b-92de-46a2-a183-8d3378449c1c

Regards,

Hi,

i am using port-channel on service side of 4351s. We need to perform classification on service side to put specific traffic (based on app-list and prefix-list) into specific  queues. With QoS not supported over Ether Channel, we basically can't do classification any classification. Is that correct understanding?  Is there any workaround or known release which would support this?

Thanks
