Hello,
I am currently doing an SD-WAN lab with cat 8k 17.15.01a in a controller mode , in Viptela Devices i could go to vshell and perform linux commands , also there been a useful tools in the Viptela OS like tcpdump & iperf , are these tools still supported in the IOS-XE SDWAN devices or not anymore ? made some search and found i could go to linux os on IOS-XE by guestshell but it's not supported for controller mode nodes.
cEdge1#guestshell enable Interface will be selected if configured in app-hosting Please wait for completion This command is not supported in Controller mode.

I believe this is correct, guestshell is primarily designed for autonomous IOS-XE devices to host custom applications and tools locally on the router.

So there is no way to use Tcpdump , Iperf or access vshell in the IOS-XE Devices ?

You would do this in vbond as i understand for example
tcpdump vpn 0 interface eth1 options "host 198.51.100.162 -n"
host option filter the dump to traces to and from this ip address.
