SDW and additional firewall

Hi As we know, sdwan has firewall feature. why some client still use addtional firewall with sdwan? Is it because the additional wirewall has some additional feature? thanks

Mostly to integrate it with their own FW, which could be be used for functions in their network in addition to SD-WAN.
Also, from the NetOPs perspective, easy to train and manage.

Mostly because of their existing security policies and internal security team vendor preference.

Hi,

Also in some cases where you need to 'leak' one VPN to another and need strict control.

Lastly in the case where you make use of DIA and need to control what is allowed etc......
