I am using 20.5.x and 17.5.1 SDWAN images in IOS XE SDWAN on ISR 4k. unicast is working fine but only multicast is problem..
Scenario 1 : when i use multicast RP (auto rp) on one site behind replicator only that site SDWAN router get RP registration but other site over the wan doesn't get RP update.
Another Scenario 2 , RP get updated but it is not able to reach source to destination while ping group address 239.1.2.3 . it is working just only once but second ping is not working.. i need to wait until S,G entry get flush out from mroute table . if again i ping group address and i am seeing just once response but next only dots (request timed out).
Scenario 3: all same as per Scenario 2 except RP is not non SDWAN as RP enabled on HQ site router which is replicator too. result is same only.
Scenario 3: i put RP at all the sites and enabled MSDP across RPs. So, i am able to ping each other with no issues. But it is not acceptable solution when we run multicast across WAN for multiple branches since we cannot put dedicated RP router.
