Hello Guys,
Currently I have a "device-template" with almost 200 devices attached to it, I need to make a change in one of it's associated "feature-templates", from what I can see I could one of two things:
1. Create a new "feature-template" and new "device-template" and start migrate the devices to the newer "device-template" in smaller blocks like 50 devices each time
2. Create a new "feature-template" and apply this to the original "device-template" and this way the 200 devices will be changed immediately (or at least vManage will start to work on all devices at once)
My biggest concern here is the scale of this, hence the following questions:
1. Is there any best-practice for this type of bulk-changes ?
2. Is it safe to use option #2 ? Does vManage as some type of limit on the number of changes it could do simultaneous ?
3. Does vManage immediately start to reconfigure all routers in parallel affected by the same "device-template"
I don't see any recommendations around this type changes !!!
