Some of my feature templates - when I try to edit them it tells me "Template locked in edit mode.: Template is locked by user:admin since:2019-10-01 04:58:56"
I've tried rebooting the vManage, and also the solution here "https://community.cisco.com/t5/sd-wan/template-locked/td-p/3997406" doesn't work - when I run "https://<vmanage-ip>/dataservice/device/action/status/tasks" there are no processes running
I've also done request nms all restart
Is there any fix to remove these locks?
Note: I've isolated the 'locked' templates to those that are attached to 2 specific device templates. I've re-pushed those device templates but the child feature templates that are associated remain locked. I can do the painful work to work around the issue via copying that feature template, reassociating all devices to the new feature template, but I want to get to the bottom of this if possible?

This could be possible if while editing the template no CANCEL or UPDATE function was performed. The lock may still be on the template.
Deleting the lock requires root access with which Cisco SD-WAN TAC can assist. Or you can implement the workaround you mentioned.
Hope this helps.

I found a workaround for this. If your template is locked in edit mode while editing as the user xxxx, log out user xxxx and log in using admin and try to edit. Then vManage allows you to edit.
