Viptela BGP

HI,

I have a simple quick question, Viptela solution does not support underlay (BGP) routing so if the customer has an existing router (in DC/HO) which is forming BGP neighbour with PE and advertising public subsets on the internet then we would need to keep the existing router and put viptela device behind it? Is that the common design for DC/HO?

Thanks,

Aamir

Viptela does support BGP on the transport side, however a SD-WAN appliance doesn't replace an DC Internet Router or Enterprise FW because it simply serves a different purpose.  I recommend you read the SD-WAN CVD deployment guide for DC architecture starting on page 10, this design means that there is little impact dropping SD-WAN devices into the DC while not affecting the traffic flow or operations of non-SD-WAN traffic flows.

I have been using the CVD DC design on several deployments.
