The Secure Access Resource Connector connects to a provisioned region by domain name. This connection is automatic and does not require customer configuration on the Resource Connector, but some customers utilize the domain and IP address range for access control rules on their network so the the domain and IP address information is documented here: https://docs.sse.cisco.com/sse-user-guide/docs/allow-resource-connector-traffic-to-secure-access

Resource Connector servers are transitioning to a new load balancer technology that requires a slightly different format:

  • Existing: prod.<region code>.acgw.sse.cisco.com
  • Updated:  *.<region code>.acgw.sse.cisco.com

Customers using domain-based firewall rules to allow outbound Resource Connector access must implement the format or switch to IP address based rules to avoid issues.
