How to monitor VPN client status and connection status

Hi,

We use VPN client on lots of computer. We configured several connections for our user. To monitor the connection status, we want to write a small application or batch file to monitor:

1. Which connection is established now?

2. When the connection is down, the application will send a msg to user or admin

3. When the connection is established instead of establishing, a msg also will be sent to user or admin.

I am not sure if CISCO VPN Client has SDK for us to write a VB application.
