For migrating from Vswitch (static 802.3ad) to 1000v, i need to configure ip hash (ip source destination) on the 1000v. The idea is migrate from Vswitch to 1000v WITHOUTH changing the switch configuration).

Is that posible?

Thanks

When you create your uplink port profile you simply use the auto channel command in your config:

channel-group auto mode on

This will create a static etherchannel when two or more ports are added to the uplink port profile from the same host.  Assuming your upstream switch config is still set to "mode on" for the etherchannel config, there's nothing to change.

Hi Robert

When configuring IP hash on a regular Vswitch installation, the load distribution algorithm must be change to source-destination-IP on the uplink switch.

If those ports are now connected to a 1000v, source-destination-IP is not longer supported on the 1000v and must be changed  . This is a global configuration and will affect others Vswitches connected to the same switch

What do you think?
