Hello,
I was collecting show tech from Nexus 7010 remotely, and I got disconnected (some temporary network issue). After reconnecting I am unable to collect show tech anymore. I get the message "Another show tech is running, please try again later". My ver is 5.2(1). I saw in release notes that this is know issue and is resolved. However, I cannot do any upgrades right now, and I still want to collect show tech. I tried to wait, logoff, etc, nothing helps. Does anyone know any tips?
Best regards,
Krzysztof

Hello again Krzysztof
Try to run following:
"show tech include-time"
This command doesn't check other sh-tech runs.
And you're right - in next NX-OS releases (5.2(3a) for example) there is command that clears lock set by previous "sh tech" tun:
"clear tech-support lock"
HTH,
Alex

Hello,
The "show tech include-time" works perfectly :-) Thanks. However, that old lock is permanent, it's still there after few days :-( It seems the only solution is reboot...

Tried below :
checked for the user who locked the tech support and the session is idle and killed that session and tried to run tech support and it worked.
for example :
sh users
NAME LINE TIME IDLE PID COMMENT
bhupe pts/0 Jun 7 18:13 old 6529 (22.6.32.71) session=ssh
Raje pts/0 Jun 9 02:20 . 6050 (32.75.20.200) session=ssh
cheiru pts/1 Jun 9 02:19 00:01 6486 (42.90.15.136) session=ssh
rogael pts/2 Jun 9 02:04 00:01 5268 (10.75.20.200) session=ssh
