I'm currently designing a new datacenter.
Also I don't have much informations about applications and bandwidth usage.
Some informations are given:
100 Mb/s VPN Access (provider network)
4 x 100MB/s (Internet and customers) ...maybe there are one or two more customers which are connected...
Currently there are 6 Servers which each is connected with 4 x 1 GB on a Nexus 5548 with one 2128T fex !
Te Nexus should be act as the core.
So requirement was make a solution which is scalable and not expensive and should work for the first time.
My question:
How can I calculate the required bandwidth ?
Can I simple add the server connections (24 x 1 =24 Gb/s)
And regarding the VPN Access can I assume a maximum from 100Mb/s ?
Any help and tips are welcome
Maybe anyone can also recommend a book...
