Hello, everyone.

some issues when study the DC-Nexus Series 9000

now what is back-plane, fabric plane?

i know now after 2016, Cisco increased speed of port up to 100 G

So how do I calculate speed of throughput?

And I want to imagine internally, what is a fabric plane? and superplane

Hello @shahi22

Backplane is basicaly the physical part of the switch that connect everything together internally ; like the motherboard of the switch...

The fabric plane is the high speed internal highway inside the switch. This is what allows one port to send trafic to another port without clogging up the system.

Superplane, is for marketing lol, means an even more advanced or scalable fabric setup that goes beyond traditional architectures.

Best regards
