With the new IBM hosts z990, there are changes in IO subsystem (30 LPAR max, logical channel subsystem,...)
I understand that the z990 LPAR number are now identified by 2 digits.
We have 75xx CIP routers connected to our different zOS systems via Escon director and EMIF
How claw and csna definitions should be coded in CIP routers
(XX Y Z where XX is the host port of Escon Director,
Y , the LPAR number and Z the CUaddr.)
Thanks,
MF

I have found the answer. The Lpar number to be coded in Cisco CIP router is the MIF-Id (one digit).
The MIF-Id is the LPAR number inside a Logical Channel Sub-system (LCSS). A LCSS can have 15 LPAR max.
The chpid to the router can only be dedicated to one LCSS (not spanned between 2 LCSS).
Thanks to Alan A. (if present in Cisco forum)
