I'm new to supporting Cisco devices, and I inherited a network using 3 Catalyst 2960-S switches. These switches are currently configured as individual and unmanaged switches. I have previous experience with 3Com switches and stacking them with the stacking module. I'm looking to do the same with these Cisco switches. I found a place to purchase the C2960X-STACK module. Will these work in the Catalyst 2960S-48TS-L switches or do I have find and purchase the C2960S-STACK modules?

According to the data sheet it should work. Have a look:
FlexStack-Plus is backward compatible with 2960-S and FlexStack. Mixing 2960-X and 2960-S members in a stack is supported. When the stack membership is mixed with 2960-X and 2960-S models, FlexStack-Plus falls back to FlexStack capabilities of 40Gbps stack bandwidth and four members maximum per stack.
