Does anyone have a best practices, or some other guidelines they use to label ethernet cables at the switch end. With multiple 6500 series switches with 4 or 5 48 port modules it gets pretty hairy in there. We currently use a flag type of label but there has been some talk of labeling along the cable verses across. How will this be as far as reading the label while it is still plugged in?? Any thoughts either way??

Thanks smalkeric, I appreciate the direction you pointed me to. I actually think we do a great job labeling, I was just wondering if there are any "best practices" as to the type of label most companies use. jeff
