Hi experts,
I am confused between these two. Are they different? If I do "show logging info" it tells me that my logfile name is "messages". Where is it located? I can't find it anywhere in the bootflash:
Logging logfile: enabled
Name - messages: Severity - notifications Size - 4194304
On the other hand logflash (which is a usb key on my sup2E card) has many directories. Even after I did "format logflash:" they stayed. I found my logs at "logflash://sup-local/log/messages". What are they other files for? Are they for Cisco TAC to analyze logs if the switch crashes?
I just want to know recommended config for logging.
