RAM for MCS7835 with same part number does not work why?

The RAM that came with the server are the same.That the part numbers match. however there is a difference with these numbers 1RX8 pc2-5300F-555-12-A1 and 1RX8 pc2-5300F-555-11-A0 does this matter. Both the old and the new RAm are from the same manufacturer. The original RAM  works well but when I put the new RAM the correct sequence the server does not boot.

Any help will be appreciated thank you.

I found the problem a while back after thinking I spec the wrong RAM. It turned out it was correct just one out of the two was defective.
