STM-16 Routers

Dear Members

i am in need of some routers, with 5 Nos of STM-16 and 4 Nos of STM-4 Ports, can u suggest me some router and teh Line cards, i am getting confused.

coming to think about it, why is GSR considered the BEst Router , when a 7600 with Sup-720 has the Highest Backplane in any Cisco Router?

I guess the STM-16 cards are also supported on the 12008. You might want to read some of the data sheets and product literature on each of these products to understand the difference better.

Sup-720 is the best choice.

even Cat 6509 with Sup2 is good too.

I have used both with STM-16 and STM-1

they work fine.

I have used GSR with STM-16 too.

But for your needs Cat6500 with SUP-720 is the best.
