We have a Cisco 7500 with one CIP module, connecting via Channel 1/2 to an IBM Mainframe using APPN.
We have one TN3270 server running in the router (7500).
Question:
Is it possible to have several instances of TN3270 servers running in the same router using a single CIP channel?
or is it possible to have 1 TN3270 server running but listening in several TCP ports?
Our objective is to separate services (for example 50% of the branch-offices using one TN3270 server and the other 50% using another instance or port).
Thanks a lot!.

Hi,
You can only run one tn3270 on each CIP card. You
can have multiple CIP cards in a 7500. Each running a
copy of the tn3270 server.
You can also configure the tn3270 on one CIP card
to listen on more than on IP address. If you use
listen-point, you can have the server listen on more
than on TCP port. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fibm_r2/br2fpt1/br2ftnsv.htm#wp1064340
