We are looking at a plan for 1500 virtual desktops. They will reside on Dell M620 blades and Compellant storage.
The current plan is to connect the Chassis to a nexus switch for converged networking and FCoE. The Dell chassis has 4 uplinks.
Does anyone care to take a WAG at the bandwidth requirements? Should we be thinking 40Gb? Or 10?
We also may add high performance computing for research before the next hardware refresh. I have no idea on bandwidth requirements for that either.
