Hi folks,

A virtual port channel (vPC) allows links that are physically connected to two different Cisco Nexus 7000 Series devices to appear as a single port channel to a third device.

How third device come to know it is coming from single switch.what is the logic behind this.

The port-channel parameters negotiated over the links between the 3rd device, and the ports on each of the N7Ks configured in a VPC, are the same by design, which allows the 3rd device to just negotiate what it thinks is a port-channel with a single device, but with the added high availability that having the two N7ks provides.
