RV180 VPN Router on Private IP

Hi,

I am having my "RV180 VPN Router" conneced to BTRouter(Broadband).

WAN Interface of RV180 is having Private IP (192.168.1.103).

Connectivity is like this.

--------BTrouter--------------RV180----------OfficePC

At other end, in my DataCentre I have Cisco 7206VSR Router which is configured as VPN Server also.

Now I want to establish VPN connection between RV180 & 7206VSR.

But I am not finding any way to connect RV180 with 7206VSR.

In Data sheet of RV180 they mentioed it supports

    VPN

IPsec VPN                                    10 gateway-to-gateway IPsec tunnels

QuickVPN                                     10 Quick VPN tunnels using Cisco QuickVPN client

PPTP VPN                                    10 PPTP tunnels for remote client access

Encryption                                     Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES), Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)

     Authentication                               MD5/SHA1

     VPN Pass-through                        IPsec/PPTP/Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) pass-throug

Does it mean I can not establish VPN because for site-site I am not having public IP and we can not configure it as CLIENT in Remote-Access

scenario?

Please suggest how I can achieve my target?

Regards

Hi Ramesh, the problem is your upstream router to the RV180. It will have to forward all traffic to the RV180.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your veluable reply.

Can't we make RV180 as client for 7206VSR.

Hi Ramesh, no the router is not a vpn client (only server).

Hi Tom,

Thanks for you confirmation.

If we forward traffic for port 50,500,4500 from my BTRouter to RV180 then site-site should work.

Am I right?

Should. Only reason it should not work is the BT router blocking the connection provided everything is set up correctly.
