WRV210 ADMINISTRATION GUIDE:

Wireless Isolation (within SSID): From the Wireless Isolation within SSID drop-down list, choose Enabled to allow communication and file transfers between all wireless PCs that are connected to this SSID. This feature is useful when setting up a wireless hotspot location. Choose Disabled (the default option) to prevent communication and file transfers between the PCs.

AP Isolation: This feature isolates all wireless clients and wireless devices on your network from each other. Wireless devices can communicate with the Router but not with one another. To use this function, click Enabled. AP Isolation is disabled by default.

WRV210 Help:

Wireless Isolation (within SSID): is Disabled by default: any wireless PCs associating on the same SSID is able to communicate with each other. If enabling this feature, any wireless PCs associating on the same SSID will be prevent from communicating with each other. This feature is very useful in a Wireless Hotspot environment. Enabling Wireless Isolation (within SSID) will prevent (block) any wireless client associating on the same SSID from communicating each other.

AP Isolation: is enabled by default, when setting up multiple SSIDs, PCs that are associated on different SSIDs will be unable to communicate with each other. However, if AP Isolation is disabled, PCs associated on different SSIDs will be able to communicate with each other. Configuring AP Isolation (Wireless Isolation between SSIDs) has nothing to do with multiple VLANs.

The documentation seems to be conflicting.  However with the router by enabling the Wireless isolation it turns on the feature and with the AP isolation it is enabled by default to separate the ssids.  If you want them to communicate just disable that feature.

I have only one SSID and to see other devices (wireless and wired) I configured the router as follows:

Wireless Isolation (within SSID): Disabled
AP Isolation: Disabled (If enabled will not see any other devices on the network)

If the SSID you are on is mapped to a VLAN, you should be able to see the devices in the same VLAN. The AP Isolation (enabled or disabled) should not affect this behavior.

Both are correct. The wireless isolation within SSID governs whether clients with the same SSID can see each other, whereas AP Isolation governs whether clients with different SSIDs can see each other.

I think the two can not be correct because they say different or opposite things.

Obviously it does not make sense to enable Isolation Within SSID but disabling AP Isolation.
