Objective
A backup of the configuration is done to save the current settings and implement them after an upgrade. Backup configurations and settings can be restored at any time.
This objective of this document is to explain how to backup and restore the configuration on a UC320W device.

Backup/Restore Configuration
Backup Configuration
Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Backup/Restore at the top right corner of the screen.

The Backup/Restore page opens.

Note: To only backup the settings on the device, follow Steps 2-4. To back up the entire configuration, skip to Step 5.
Note: The Full Site Backup option is available only after you have applied a configuration. The phone and the device functions will be interrupted while the device backup or restore takes place.
Step 2. Scroll down to the Backup area, and click the Save Site Configuration radio button to save your current configuration. This includes all settings, but not voice mail messages, recorded prompts, FXO Gain Settings, or Platform Modification Files.

Step 3. Click Backup.
Step 4. Enter the file name and click Save when the download pop-up window appears to save the backup file on your PC. The configuration is saved and the device reboots.
Step 5. Scroll down to the Backup area, and click the Save Full Site Backup to a USB Key radio button to save the current configuration which includes all settings and files.

Step 6. Click the desired USB Slot (1, 2) radio button.
Note: This option is available only if a USB is connected to the device.
Step 7. Click Backup to USB.
Step 8. Enter the file name and click Save when the download pop-up window appears to save the backup file to the USB device. The configuration is saved and the device reboots.
Restore Configuration
Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Backup/Restore at the top right corner of the screen.

The Backup / Restore page opens:
Note: To restore only the settings of the device follow Steps 1 to 3, to restore the entire configuration skip to Step 4.
Step 2. In the Restore area, click the Restore Site Configuration radio button to restore your saved configuration.

Step 3. Click the Choose File button to choose the saved configuration file from your PC. The configuration file format is .site_backup
Step 4. Click Restore to restore the configuration. The saved configuration is restored and the device reboots.
Step 5. Click Restore Full Site Backup from USB to restore the backup file from the USB.

Step 6. Choose the backup file from the drop-down list.
Step 7. Click Restore from USB to restore the configuration from the USB. The saved configuration is restored and the device reboots.
