Objective

The Shared Call Appearance (SCA) feature lets you have multiple phones with the same number while also sharing the same services. The incoming calls will appear at multiple locations at the same time. The devices, in which this call appearance feature is shared, can be used to attend calls or make calls (as a main user).

The objective of this document is to show you how to configure Miscellaneous Line Key Settings on SPA9X2 Series IP Phones.

Applicable Devices

• SPA9X2 Series

Software Version

• v6.1.5a

Configuration of Miscellaneous Line Key Settings in Advanced Mode

Step 1. Log in to the web configuration utility and choose Admin > Login > Advanced > Phone. The Phone page opens. Scroll down to the Miscellaneous Line Key Settings area on the same page.

Step 2. Choose a SCA line ID mapping from the SCA Line ID Mapping drop-down list. There are two options which correspond to LEDs on the phone— Vertical First and Horizontal First.

• Vertical First — This causes the next LED on the phone to flash with the second incoming call.

• Horizontal First — This causes the same LED to flash for the second incoming call.

Note: Each LED can be a line or an extension, and hold a maximum of two calls. An extension can be assigned to two LEDs. The assigned LED always flashes on the first call. The default is kept as Vertical First.

Step 3. Choose Yes from the SCA Barge-In Enable drop-down list. This enables the SCA barge-in feature, which allows users who are sharing a call appearance to add themselves to a call on a shared line. The default is set to No.

Step 4. Click Submit All Changes. The changes are configured.
