In the future, spacroot.crt will be deprecated. The combinedca.crt file must be used. Contact linksys-certadmin@cisco.com for the combinedca.zip file.
Currently, September 2009, all model SPA devices can use spacroot.crt.
How do you know if you are affected?
If you use mature SPA devices that have 12-digit serial numbers, you are not affected and can continue to use spacroot.crt.
If you use newer SPA devices such as the SPA5x5 IP phone family, the SPA525G, SPA8800, etc. the devices have an 11-digit serial number and must use combinedca.crt
Summary
SPA devices with 11-digit serial numbers must use combinedca.crt
SPA devices with 12-digit serial numbers can continue to use spacroot.crt
