Cisco business wireless 240AC Access Point

grazie

Hello,

Same issue... See https://community.cisco.com/t5/wireless/cbw240ac-random-lan-devices-access-error/m-p/4492399

The suggestion of firmware downgrade is not working (I'll try 10.0.1 today but I'm really unsure it will work better).

Philippe

hello,

next days I will be try to downgrade firmware.

today work fine only 5GHz and 2,4GHz down, work only in lan, I can't surf the web in 2,4GHz

very incredible.

You had a working Wifi on one of the two bands? It's maybe another issue

When I had the problem with devices from the internal network, it's from both wifi bands and confirmed by the ping tool in the advanced / primary ap tools / troubleshooting tools menu. If the unavalable wired devices is the DNS/DHCP server or the Internet gateway: no more Internet access.

I'm pretty sure it was really stable at some point (and I never had 10.1 firmware, 10.3 at least). Maybe it's moved CBW143 device  the starting point (he was behind a CBW141 before and now the CBW240 has 2 wireless mesh devices). I powered off the CBW143 and upgraded the firmware to the "Cisco recomended" 10.6. A wifi mesh from another brand is ordered for the next time the issue fires up (but as I read comments on the other devices, there could be also other issues...)

Did you try a mesh with 2 CBW240 devices as you bought a second one?

Philippe

hello,

I'm sorry for my bad english.

all start with a new voip telephone switchboard and with old AP not work voice, and we need a AP with QOS VOICE Platinum.

first i have ride the best practice guide.

IP static.

WiIFi chanel fixed

Yes, yesterday, smartphone with wi-fi 5GHz work fine, go internet and surf lan, only device 2,4GHz not work.

but only at the end of work day.

All day work, last days only every 3-4 hours wifi 2,4GHz go down and up in automatic.

only some times i need to restart AP manually.

PC wired ok all work fine, internet and lan.

now i have firmware 1.0.0.10 on the mesh 143 and 240AC.

today I try to work and this night wait feedback from my colleagues.

With first 240AC and second 240AC with ping tool not work NEVER. only dns check work fine.

DNS setting first with my dns internal and after google dns and open dns  work ok but only ping tool NEVER GO.

Yes before change 240AC I have tried one 240AC main AP and second 240AC secondary. work

After at the end i will be try a second 240AC in a second office at 50 meters by wifi bridge (TPLINK-TPLINK bridge) the same lan.

But now i need to see work only one 240AC with 143 mesh

I will be buy a secondo mesh but i don't konw. I'm not happy about Cisco quality or too much complex setup.

with Tplink Dlink never problem like this.

i need a good AP for a VOIP with QOS Platinum for VOICE.  all PC are wired and only smartphone by wifi.

in attach 2 picture. with internet RED i can work normally (surf internet / mail)  incredible.

I think not work ping and internet red but internet go very good !

ping in LAN work example ping 192.168.10.6 ok

ping any ip wan like 72.163.4.185 not work

maybe my firewall Cisco stop ping outside. i need time to study.

thank for all.

Firewall CISCO ASA

No ping from lan to wan

command line

Tools

command line interface

policy-map global_policy
class inspection_default

   inspect icmp

SEND

NOW I can ping outside and in CBW240AC in can see Internet GREEN and PING WORK FINE.

I am happy !

Now study problem about wi-fi 2.4GHz go down....
