The 2.7.4.7 and 2.8.1.4 versions of the CSPC software that were released on June 4th, 2019 had a critical issue that has since been addressed. Cisco has re-issued corrected versions of these two patches as of November 12, 2019.
Impact: You are impacted if you have installed either one of the affected CSPC versions between October 1, 2019 and November 11, 2019. There is no impact to customers who installed the patches before October 1, 2019 or on or after November 12, 2019.
Action: If you are impacted by this issue, Cisco recommends you use the CSPC appliance admin shell to reset the collector login password and root password. If your customer admin shell is not accessible, we recommend that you redeploy the CSPC collection software.
