ASK Cisco ISE 3.x to Run SDA

Dear Community,

Kindly ask I have customer running ISE 2.7 and now they have purchased to us for SDA implementation

but ISE 2.7 will be terminated and replaced with 3.x, my questions are below :

1. if they have run SDA with Cisco ISE 2.7 and next year upgrading to 3.x is there any issue with SDA Environment?

2. is it compatible Cisco ISE 3.x with DNAC?

3. what the prerequisites to implement 3.x ISE version?

Please refer to the SDA compatibility matrix tool here - https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/Website/enterprise/sda_compatibility_matrix/index.html

1. SDA is supported with ISE version 2.7

2. Current recommended release for SDA is ISE 3.0 patch 3

3. I am not aware any special pre-requisites besides the typical pxgrid requirements for integration. just upgrade to ISE 3.0 as per normal.

Hi Madura,

thanks for responding regarding my questions

if we run SDA with ISE version 2.7 in the middle we upgrade to ISE version 3.0, is there any issue will occur?

-There should not be issues, but I would recommend opening a prelim TAC case just in case.  I recently had some pxgrid integration issues post a move from 2.7p5->3.0p5.  Something else to note is that the ISE licensing model/structure changes as of 3.0 so this will require TAC to migrate licensing.  See here for more: Products - ISE Licensing Migration Guide - Cisco
