I have a DNA Controller in my lab for a few months. It is currently running on 1.1. Is it somehow possible to directly upgrade to 1.2.10?

You need to go through cloud updates in series. You cannot jump to 1.2.10 directly through upgrade.

If this is the lab setup, you can do fresh install with iso image. There was some new requirement for mandatory requirement for cluster virtual ip introduced in 1.2.x . That should also be taken care.
