Im learning SDA and setup a LAB and testing. there is a scenario for two bulilding each as a FIAB:

using Catalyst Center

one Fusion

three sites:

BLDG-1  Transit to Fusion

BLDG-2 Transit to Fusion via BLDG-1

SDA_Transit

I did most of steps on BLDG-1 C9200CX to make it a CBE but when I go to fabric infrastructure and select the switch then only option it gives me is to enable Edge Node ! I need to make it edge, control and border but only edge option available. what am i missing?

That is correct. Cat9200 series devices can only be edge devices.
Refer to the compatability matrix to see which devices can have which roles: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/Website/enterprise/catalyst_center_compatibility_matrix/index-sda.html

A brief summary:

  • Cat 9300 switches are the "lowest" that support all fabric roles/FIAB.
  • Some routers can be borders and control plane nodes.
  • Certain older switches can be extended nodes
