Pxgrid enable in pan or PSN or both

Hi team, 

We have a six node deployment with 2 admin plus mnt 4 PSN. For ftd integration in which node we need to enable pxgrid persona and why?

i'd enable it on PANs in your case as PANs are usually experience lower processing load comparatively to MnTs & PSNs

Hi @poornakumar,

I would follow the pattern described in the performance and scalability guide for a "Medium deployment" and enable PXgrid on your PANs only. As @Andrii Oliinyk said this is more favorable considering load distribution in your deployment.

I agree with both answers above, although you can enable pxGrid on the PSNs it actually makes more sense to enable pxGrid on the PANs because the actual replication of pxGrid information between the pxGrid personas will happen through the PAN. In case your deployment will need to be scaled up then in that case you can deploy dedicated pxGrid nodes.
