Remove edge node from fabric and DNA-C after wr erase

Hi,

Due to time constraints a rollback was done incorrectly. So after the switch was part of the fabric via LAN automation, the switch config was removed on the CLI (pnpa service reset). So steps as described in DNAC guide where NOT followed removing it from the fabric and delete it from inventory. (version 2.3.5.5 + 17.9.5)

Stuff that needs to be done:

  • Make sure edge node is no longer part of fabric site in DNA-C
  • Routed port configuration on downlink of intermediate node/seed device is removed
  • Switch safely removed from inventory.

Anybody has some experience with this? Can i just click remove from fabric without the edge node being online?

Regards

Ok, I just went for it. Deleted it from fabric. It then ofcourse gives an error it cannot communicate with the removed switch. As a result, in the fabric topoligy view the edge node shows as greyed-out. Then I deleted it from inventory. With that last step the routed port config is also removed from the downlink of the seed device and configured back as a switchport.

So removing of the link in automation is not needed (and also not possible with the GUI).

All good.
