Hi Community,

I want to renew DNA licenses so that the C9300 and C9500 switches work as an SD-ACCESS network. What type of license would I need?

Regards

You will need DNA Advantage licenses for SDA. They are sold in either 3, 5 or 7 year terms. For specific SKUs, refer to the appropriate License ordering information tables in the Cat9300 and Cat9500 ordering guides:

HI @Torbjørn

Would these types of licenses be necessary for the switches to work as SD-ACCESS?

C9300 24P Network Advantage (C9300-24 Network Advantage):
Description: C9300-24P Network Advantage
Count: 5
Version: 1.0
Status: OUT OF COMPLIANCE
Export status: NOT RESTRICTED

C9300 24P DNA Advantage (C9300-24 DNA Advantage):
Description: C9300-24P DNA Advantage
Count: 5
Version: 1.0
Status: OUT OF COMPLIANCE
Export status: NOT RESTRICTED

Yes, that is correct. Those will need to be renewed to continue using SDA

Hi @Torbjørn

The DNA has already synchronized the smart account license.

The switches have expired licenses. I am going to assign the Advantage license from the DNA to the switches to renew the function in the SD-ACCESS network. The switches still retain the SD-ACCESS configuration and are operational, providing service to users.

Question: When assigning the license for renewal to the switches, could I lose my configuration or have any service impact?

Take into consideration that the switches are already in SD-ACCESS, only the license is being renewed.

Awaiting your kind response

Switch operation is not impacted by license renewal.
