SDA Fabric IP Pools Scale

burger
Level 1
Level 1

A company I work for recently received a DNAC with a recent order and purchased another SDA lab kit for a POV.  One is configured for assurance now and we want to POV SDA on the other.  Reading the scaling guide for the appliance it says we can have up to 100 IP sub-nets per site.  We currently have 5 sites that are FIAB, very small and small sites.  Our plan is to create two large IP pools at the global level: 10.0.0.0/8 and 172.16.0.0/12 and reserve these as needed at the sites as /16's and then down to /24's.  Some of our site have many smaller sub-nets which we would look to consolidate if we moved to a SDA fabric. But given what we have is the below a valid configuration.  Basically if we needed to could we assign 100 sub-nets to siteA and then another to siteB etc.

Global - 10.0.0.0/8 and 172.16.0.0/12

SiteA - 100 - /24 ip pools from the /8

SiteB - 100 - /24 ip pools from the /8

SiteX - 100 - /24 ip pools from the /8

@burger ,

This depends on which DNA Center appliance you use. We cans support more than 100 IP Pools per fabric site with the L and XL appliances ( see https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/cloud-systems-management/dna-center/nb-06-dna-center-data-sheet-cte-en.html#Appliancescale ). If you have 5 sites each with 100 IP Pools, then you are fine.

Thank you for the response.  Looking through the CVD we are going to use 1 VN with SGTs.  My main question relates to the number of IP address pools per fabric site.

SiteA - 100 ip pools assigned as /24 from the /8

SiteB - 100 ip pools assigned as /24 from the /8

SiteX - 100 ip pools assigned as /24 from the /8

The medium or large site can accommodate this, Look at the sizing and deployment guide as you referring CVD.

Thanks for the helpful answer Scott.  Each site will need less than 100 pools but wanted to make sure i was reading that spec from the datasheet correctly.
