9509 Fiber loop and STK9500

We are currently setting up our fabric. We have a STK 9500 storage device that we are trying to bring into the fabric. The storage device is currently a "direct attach" deivice and is seetup as "loop". I have attached a fiber cable from the storage device and have tried the port on the 9509 as "AUTO", "FL" and "FX". The device does not get logged into the switch. If I highlite the port it says that it is "initializing" but it never logs into the switch. Any ideas?

Try to do a shut/no shut on the port. If this still doesn't work, try a different port with auto speed and auto type.

If this still doesn't do it, we would need to open TAC case and get some debug and fcanalyzer traces
