Hi,
I was using MDS9500 and Microsoft iSCSI Initiator software to do some iSCSI related test. One test scenario is to create multiple connections in one iSCSI session.
The first step is to run the command 'iscsicli logintarget' to create a session on a Windows host, this was successful.
The second step is to run the command 'iscsicli addconnection' to add another connection to the session created in the first step, this failed with error message 'too many connections' .
I've talked to Microsoft, they said by default, when a session is created, MS iSCSI initiator allows up to 4 connections. But if the target only allows 1, then the number of maximum connections will be set to 1.
Since the target is created on MDS9500, I checked the session by running command 'show iscsi session detail' on MDS9500, it showed me that the value of parameter MaxConn is 1.
So, does MDS9500 IPS module support multiple connections in an iSCSI session? If yes, how should I configure it ?
Thanks.

Yes your right, the MDS9000 iscsi interfaces support a maximum of one tcp connection per iscsi target session.
This is communicated to the initiator in the iscsi target login response key/value pair "MaxConnections=1".

Does CISCO have any plan to support multiple TCP connections in one iSCSI session on MDS 9000 family switches.
Is there any other CISCO product that supports multiple TCP connections in one iSCSI session?
