My customer plan to implement iSCSI on SN5428 replaing existing Brocade switch connected to EVA 3000. Does it work. EVA 3000/5000 is not on compatibility list of SN5428. Have somebody done it?

If it is not on the compatibility list then I guess it would not work. I haven't tried it though.

FYI...

HP sells the SR2122-2. This is actaully built by Cisco and is known as the SN5422 inside Cisco. The 5422 is basically the SN5420 with two FC ports and FCIP software. The 5428 is the big brother of the 5420. We use two 5422 / 2122-2 FCIP routers for CA between two EVA5000 2c12D systems. Our switches are Brocade 2800, 3800, and 2850 switches. The FCIP ports on the 2122-2 / 5422 are setup as B (Bridge) ports. We basically use them to transparently bridge FC frames over an IP network. This allows us to extend our SAN fabric over a fair distance. I would think the 5428 would work just fine. We are running the 3.4.5-K9 SW.
