Assign Service Profile to a server Pool

We are looking for the normal procedure in associating a service profile to a server / server pool. We created service profile templates and associated with server pool, but it's not creating the SP, so for testing we created a SP from this template and associated with a server, please let us know the exact procedure ...

Do I understand you correctly:

You created a template (initial or update); where you associate it with a server pool !

Then you create One Service profile from this template ?

And this didn't work ? what was the error message ? Did you move blades into this pool; are there any unassociated servers in that pool ?
