We are getting IBM Flex systems which include a Brocade IB-6547 running 7.2 OS. I want to connect these to my Cisco MDS9513’s
running 5.2 OS. I have all the Brocade information on setting up Access Gateway but I’m looking for a bit more on the Cisco side. I know I need to enable NPIV (normal setup for us). I would do the zoning from the Cisco. I think I would configure a port-channel to the brocades just like I do for Cisco switches running NPV .
What else?
Is this a bad idea?

Yes, enable feature NPIV on the MDS; unfortunaltely, no port channel is supported between Brocade and MDS (this is a Cisco proprietary feature); flogi happens on MDS, where you do your zoning.

before you enable AG on Brocade, disable authentication policy
authutil --policy -sw off
