Can the Cisco UCS Virtual Interface Card 1225 be configured as an iSCSI storage adapters in VMware 6.0
Currently the VIC 1225 is only listed as FCoE storage adapters and the switch and storage don't support FCoE (bummer).
I know it does support "boot from iSCSI", but this isn't what I need. As the system has internal SD cards for the boot partition.

Please check Interop tool, select the C-Series server

I think VIC-1225 is a CNA, not a iSCSI storage adaptor, which means
- it supports iSCSI (TCP)
- iSCSI boot
but no iSCSI hardware offload !

Thanks for the post. I've been searching the forums for this information and this is exactly the information I was looking for. I'll just have to use the software iscsi initiator and the NICs. I would have preferred to have iscsi hardware offload, but this will do.
