Connecting Storage array to a NPV switch

Hi Team,

I have a simple question I have a requirement to connect a new storage array to a NPV switch as the ports on NPIV switch are exhausted. so can I connect the Storage array to the NPV switch and what would be the traffic flow from the hosts to the storage connected on the same NPV switch. As the Zoning will be configured on the NPIV switch will the traffic for SAN flow through the NPIV switch or the Zoning will be used only as control traffic only. Please clarify

If you attach and zone together a host and storage on the NPV switch all i/o between these devices will traverse the upstream NPIV switch.   NPV switches to do not perform local switching.  See NPV Guidelines and Requirements section of this URL:
